You take one fucking sentence and turn it into the foundation of your beliefs. You act as if being a Muslim (WHICH HE’S NOT) is a sin against America. You bitch about his middle name (BARACK HUSSEIN MOTHERFUCKING OBAMA 2008!) and get miffed if someone calls you out as a bigot because ‘ohmygod it’shisname whycan’tisayitwithoutbeingracist?’ but can’t tell me what John McCain’s middle name is, or Sarah Palin’s, or Joe Biden’s or what the FUCKING W. IN GEORGE W. BUSH STANDS FOR so I rest my goddamn case. You want us to keep killing our husbands and wives and brothers and sisters and friends in an illegitimate war and damage the Earth and all of it’s inhabitants a little bit more by doing whatever the fuck we want to it in order to maintain our presence in Iraq and keep gas prices moderate.
You act like altruism is something that’s wrong with the world when I’m pretty sure that the religion you’re clinging to is pretty much the biggest advocate of it, acting as if ‘welfare’ enables people to sit on their ass and do absolutely nothing for as long as they want to and completely ignoring the fact that the children you don’t want people to fucking abort NEED food and health insurance and housing so if you don’t want to kill ‘em you need to be prepared to take care of them with your tax dollars. You’re so afraid someone’s going to take away your constitutional right of allowing adolescent boys to blow their brains out at gun shows while wanting to infringe on the constitutional rights of people that I love to love who they want to love.
You bitch about ACORN and Bill Ayers when McCain has been tied to some pretty shady shit in his years as well but since the Obama campaign has completely refrained from personal and non-issue attacks, it hasn’t really been barraged into your skull 24/7. You want to act like politicians aren’t politicians and I’m betting a real high fucking number of you really are RACIST and can’t stand the idea of all us mother fuckers being under the reign (and not unilateral, mind you, since some of you are so certain that all his plans are going to come to pass because he wills them into power, as if there’s no such thing as a judicial or legislative branch [Democratic majority or not, thank you] of power in our government) of a BLACK man. Yeah, I said it. MY. BLOG.
I’m sick of you. All of you. And, I can’t believe that people bitch about Palin’s wardrobe,,, seriously, carry on, both sides have spent a lot of freaking $$$$$…. I can’t believe that people really don’t understand that we should really help one another to make a better society, I believe Obama is onto something. And then I can’t believe that our very rich Biden has donated just pennies to non-profit in his entire career. What a cheap man, seriously.
Again. I know who I am leaning towards today. But I have to admit, very honestly, that to me…. it is just the “better” man. I am not in love with either.

I was discussing the election in my classroom the other day and my kids are mainly McCain supporters. I am not but I cannot express that outright because of my job. My kids were telling me that they don’t want to be forced to pay for other people and give money to people who just don’t want to work, like bums and drunks. I set them straight on that and then I stopped and looked at them and said, “You do realize that what you are saying is that you don’t want to help other people who need it more than you.”
They had no response.
When did we become a people who don’t want to help others?
Being tied to shady people and being tied to a terrorist are two completely different things in my mind after Sept 11th.
If anyone would ever call me racist (never been called that in my life) for not voting for Obama because he is black (instead of the fact that I don’t agree with him on ONE issue and I don’t think he is being honest, or has the experience) well, that is when I would say “FUCK YOU”.

As far as Bill Ayers: I guess it doesn’t matter to me personally because I realize that if I were the age I am now in that volatile era, I could definitely see myself being a Black Panther hippie Vietnam protester high on weed and fighting ‘the man’. I’m not saying I would have bombed anything, but it was a different time and a different social climate back then.
I guess that if Bill Ayers had blown something up outside of that time frame, I would see him as the monster other people do. But there are kids being taught by him right now at college. If one day they end up running for president or some other office, does their association with Ayers automatically deem them untrustworthy?
I’ve been having this same argument with my neighbor for a week and UGH I’m so sick of it. I’ll be so glad when the election is over and Obama wins and the earth does not stop spinning on its axis and Communism is not declared in the White House and these stupid people (who will never be pleased by this man as president) will at least hopefully be pleasantly surprised that he is not the Anti-Christ.

Well, I don’t have a party because I never vote along party lines. I vote for people who can get the job done, who I think have integrity and can lead this country.
I’m getting really tired, though, of people popping off about how it’s no big deal for government to take more money from people and corporations. The government SUCKS at handling the money they get. Believe me there is enough fucking money going to the government to do what needs to be done…the assholes in the House and Senate just don’t do it. They pad legislation with pork, they mismanage the money they do get, and there is no way that I believe any president, Democrat or Republican, should raise taxes on anyone. Because until they show me they can stop fucking up with our money, they don’t need to grab any more of it under the guise of “altruism”. It also pisses me off to no end that nobody is talking about the billions of dollars that corporations already pay in taxes. It’s not like they don’t already send a ton of money to the government.
So all this talk about redistributing wealth has a lot of mass appeal, but it’s bullshit. Because the people that it will be redistributed to are not the creators of jobs, and jobs are what we need in this country right now. The people and corporations and small businesses it will be taken from are.
Sorry I can’t drink the “Obama will save the world” koolaid. It just doesn’t ring true. He’s a politician just like the other guy. And I caucused for him in the primaries, I wish I felt better about him as a presidential contender, but I don’t.
